Native to the Niagara, Ontario region, Maegan knew from a young age that she wanted to be involved in the arts community. She later attended St. Catharine's Collegiate highschool, with its superior arts emphasis, where photography was first "exposed" to her. She immediatley fell in love with the modern media and followed her passion to Ontario College of Art and Design, after being accepted to several other colleges.

Completing four gruelling years at O.C.A.D. and having the opportunity to work annually at the Toronto International Film Festival has nutured her love for film in both still and moving pictures. Recently she has shown her work in the prestigious Leo Kamen Gallery in downtown Toronto as well as the Prefix Gallery and the city's lauded annual photography festival, Contact.
